GEEZ here i am stuck in Oklahoma family has decided to cancel Xmas which is the only reason I am still here and I am ready to go home bummer they are telling me its sposed to get up to 7" of snow and the next time its sposed to be above freezing will be Monday. I am hoping the bear will be ready to come down and rescue me by then! I am ready to be back at home relaxing and having a glass of sake and be done with famly obligations for quite some time. I want my privacy back...Ahh the holidays it always comes to this!

Catching up on some rest (burn out)

I was in such a rush to make myself useful to any and everybody I have spent all my time up until now bustin my hump. So this Sunday I took a few hours off and spent the afternoon lazin around with my niece and sis just hangin round the house bein a bit of a bum. Sure there was still light house work at 8in the morning through the afternoon and sure we did end up runnin errands for most of the afternoon.... BUT my niece got a new pair of furry boots which she absolutely adores. And as for me I got to spike my afternoon "spot of tea" with some watermelon smirnoff vodka have not done that in years. I have to admit I LOve bein naughty!Hopefully Santa won't hold it against me but I probably wouldn't mind if he did, I kind of have a thing for older guys (lol)

Sister Ren decided to take me along last night to go to the casino to play bingo with her. The bingo games were fun and the idea of winning free money was exciting but everytime it seemed like some older person (ancient ) seemed to call bingo only after like two or three numbers were called was a lil' frustrating. Making me think they had made some type of makevelian deal before they arrived. After we bombed at Bingo we headed off to the casino part and played the slots have only done that a couple times before so by the end of the night Ren had made a hundred bucks and I made sixty. From living in LV a couple of years ago and watching people gamble foolishy I am very leery of spending money that way. So, of course the moment I saw extra green in my pocket my cheap ass grabbed Ren and took off which Ren said she usually stays till she has lost it all but the way i see it is its better to win small then loose big especially when I have Xmas shopping to do so she dubbed me her goodluck charm and we plan to try it again with her friend becky sometime in the future.

So far have had a blast wanted my sister to give me a haircut so she decided that if I babysat my niece and let her stay up as late as she wanted over the weekend that she would give me my haircut so Raven and I spent Sat night and Sunday morning having an anime watch pajama party of course she passed out by midnight and I got my haircut sunday night and we all got together and watched the live action Blood the Last Vampire monday did some light office work to help out and today I am waiting to let in the chimney sweep and dog sitting hopefully I will get to go hang with an old friend later on this evening we will see how everything goes but needless to say she did a great job on my head

Another long day hanging got the Christmas tree up at rina's , well watched her and Raven do most of the work but did help out a bit. Afterwards we all watched a movie "Blood the last vampire" now its time to chill and get some rest going to help out in the office tomorrow i'm told I will be doing some filing and organizing (but ya never know) so I am going to turn in early so that i will be ready for whatever awaits me there. All in all so far this vacation has been pretty relaxing so far knock on wood but things are just getting underway hopefully we will go out later on this week.

Just arrived in OKC this morning round 630am rode all night after sis and her husband drove down to pick me up. Spent all day sleeping and then we all went out together and washed her car and met upwith my other sister and my niece and went to Wal-mart ofter which we got some pizza and came back watched movies and me and my niece hung out and watched some anime busy 1st day this is already off to a busy start but am having a good time so far

Have spent most of the day veggin round the apartment watching ALOT of reality tv bein a pajama wearin hangin out under the covers avoiding the rain type bum. Rented "The Ugly Truth" yesterday may have to pop that in and watch it later, but for now I just got roped into watching some Lifetime movie some student teacher thing (Geez! I am amazed at how easily my attention is drawn into these things. )

Spent the evening in working all the kinks out of my laptop and downloading music software and some new videos kind of a voring Saturday but am preparing to visit Oklahoma at the end of the week for a few days so am just takin it easy and getting ready for the small vacation. Hopefully this week will run smoothly. Springfield can be so boring I am wishing I knew more people here anyway back to doing some more downloads. Listen to some new music adn make a bit of mischief.

I am always wanting to leave an entry in my journal but for some reason I am always forgetting. I am thinking its because right at this moment things have not been ...hmmm let's say...fruitful, or very interesting in my life. I have played the part of the hermit recently and have pretty much kept to myself. That has not worked very well for me though. I can feel myself becoming more and more stag net and just kind of down all the time. I know its just a phase I am not the kind of person that can stand being this way for too long and with the new year fast approaching I realize it No.1 is never too late to change things if you don't like the way they are and ... well I am still working on my positive proactive list right now that general idea is at least a step in the right direction. So I will try and get back on track and let go of all these weird apprehensions that I have picked up

Well, as far as artwork and housework and work on the computer goes I am flyin along gettin lots done. I am feelin the need to unwind though recharge my creative juices (among other things)This has put me in a bit of a mood. I know I really need to just unwind cut loose yada yada do something! I will have to take that into consideration cause if I know one thing thats a given its that the moment I become too obbsessive with my ongoing projects is the moment that I end up gettin all burnt out and frustrated and i dont want that. Things are just different here than when i used to live in San Francisco or when I used to live in NY or Ft lauderdale or even Vegas the streets here are already rolled up at 10p and thats just the way it is its like a mindset. Well eventhough I am only going to Oklahoma (to do more work) at least I will be among friends. I will just have to make RC and Rina pull out the sake and tie one on and cut looseso I guess i have to look forward to that and get back to work for now.

Well today am cleaning house and doing artwork around the house again preparing for my trip to Okc a week from today. So I am going to enjoy my jammie time all week this week and enjoy any time i have to relax. A lot of my week will not only be spent on doing artwork but also on organizing a lot of stuff and working on the website as well as other little fun tedious things I have not gotten around to or have just plain put off. I really want to put my workout schedule back to full swing allergies or not and continue watching the battlestar gallactica series from ep one to current all week I am still on season one at this point and yes I have seen most episodes of the series but I guess i am just wanting to see them from number one to present in order and take it all in anyway today was nvy blue pjs hehe

Well to start with the bad i have had horrible allergies and have taken to sittin round the house in my pjs bein a bum for the past few days the good news is i got my new laptop!!!!! and now am learnin my way around it am lovin it tho also in my world went to OKC and RC and i are working on our comic full steam ahead I am also designing the web page for her to promote the vampire novel she just wrote and published Immortal Promises i am sooo very proud of her and the story was awesome she did a good job i will post the link to the site soon but for now here is a link to where you can get her book and more info about it I would check it out its a great read... dark ,exciting, keeps a heart pounding tempo throughout (the same has been said about me)but seriously check it out if u get a chance

so with less than a week to go before my visit to OkC I have done pretty weel with the workout and the artwork things are not progressing as quickly as I would like but when does that ever happen in life? I still have a lot of organizing to do before I am exactly where I want to be but at this point I am just happy to see that I am, on my way in a steady forward motion. Today is my day off but still very busy I am adding weights to my workout routine now that I am getting used to the whole 5 day workout thing I thinks its time to raise the bar and start working myself a bit harder it seems that the physical stuff is proviong to be a lot more easy than I thought it would be to stay disciplined. Spending more time on my artwork and being more organized with my time in general seems to be what I am having trouble with. I have been having lots of fun with my friends recently as well we all hung out a bit last week and this week too posted pics from that on my facebook my account there is under my name Kris Douglas getting a haircut today and am thinkin bout a drastic change but we will have to see this afternoon how I end up feeling

Well things have been hectic for me since I have been summoned to present new artwork for my writer and the begininng of March the second and third to be exact. I have been working as many hours as possible still found some time to hang out and do the DDR thing witrh some friends (pics of that follow) got a new cell phone (very happy that finally got a plan and am not using one of those prepaid numbers anymore) and just ordered RC (my writer's) first published novel Congrats again girl "Immortal Promises" a vampire romance thriller which I am reading and loving alot I ordered my copy from amazon.com and got it last night and am already on chapt 4. Valentines Day was bleh but I have been keeping up on my workouts and am very happy about that. There was a bad ice storm here that knocked alot of peoples power out and made the roads very difficult to drive on but that seems to be over now and the weather is sposed to be good for awhile. Other than that I have just begun renting lots of oscar contending movies so that I have seen them and can pick my faves before the oscars in March I just saw Gone Baby Gone and We Own the Night both very good movies anyway I guess I am babbling on a bit so I will stop here for now

Been away for a bit

Hey there,

I have been away for a bit but there is a very good reason for that. No I did not hit my head and forget how to write or anything like that... Lets see where to begin, well after Christmas at work i got promoted to supervisor and am working the service desk now and then I kicked my weight training program into high gear and have been working out 5 days a week gaining about 25 pounds so far also I have put the comic book stuff into high gear as well RC publkished her novel its called Immortal Promises and is now on sale at amazon.com its a vampire romance novel and its hot but since she is the writer for the manga that we are working on I have had to up my game as far as my illustrations and have been very busy with that. I have also become addicted to DDR dance dance revolution and have been having friends over playing that game for hours as well as soul caliber three and tekken five I am having a party fri night some girls from work are coming over and we are going to dance play video games and listen to jpop etc etc sounds like a weird version of Grease (pajama party) anyway have to work hard if I am to reach my goal weight of 170 by the time I go to Oklahoma for my first presentation of my illustrations at the end of this month. Now that my workouts and everything are on track and going well I am going to try and be more faithful in writing my blog and documenting my progress I have to admit I did not want to for a while for two reasons I needed to focus on motivating myself and thought too much time on the computer might side track me and the other quite honestly was that I did not know how sucessful I would be setting so many goals but so far I must admit I have surprized myself and will continue to keep trying I also ended getting glasses cause i got my eyes checked for the first time in about 10 years and am now adding in skin care and drinking lots more water anyway I am babbling and I will go into more later but do not wanna be boring so instead of going on I will send you some pics from the last few weeks to show how hard I have been wroking and take some new ones fri night as well. Oh i almost forgot I am getting a vid cam soon as well that should be fun

Xmas Aftermath

well made it through the holiday season things are bound to slow down but now its time to get ready for New Years and all the hopes goals plans and dreams it may hold. Today I have another shift at my cashiering gig and then the rest of the week off this is when I find out if the job is truly seasonal or if they ask me to stay on either way my hours are going to go from like over 40 a week down to 25 or less but that is good because I have to get caught up on my comic book work which has slowed considerably due to the Christmas Season and Rob's month long hospital stay speaking of Rob he got me some wonderful presents and we had a very cozy Christmas this year which I will go into detail at some other time as I am currently fixing breakfast and do not want it to burn while babbling about all that so my plans for the day is breakfast and a movie work then over to some friends drop off presents and play some dance dance revolution work out and begin forming my goals and resolutions for 2008 all in a days work hehehe Merrry Xmas Aftermath I will leave u with some parting shots of our holiday mayhem

Well Christmas time is now coming to a close I have to admit that I had a great Holiday I ended up switching jobs and spending my holiday season doing easy cashier work and workin on the manga as well as working on my body (working out) and nutrition I got some good presents and gave a few and had a pretty decent tree I decorated will be posting pics of all the craziness here is wishing everyone out there had a Merry Xmas

Ok so there have been a lot of changes since I last wrote in my journal but things are going well lets see where shall i start. Well I found God got baptized a couple of weeks ago was just in the Xmas parade have put on about 10 more pounds of muscle am in the process of moving into a new place by myself for awhile to work on the comicbook which I will post a pic of a sketch from that am about to start studying japanese again have two job interviews this week quit Burger King after they shorted me 80 hours on a check I worked 101.38 they paid me for 21hrs they made it right like a week later but by that point I was just ready to take the money and run Now today I interview at the Buckle and tomorrow its kmart city I realize that my job is only sposed to take up pt hours so that I spend the majority of time working on my comicbook and get that done and out as quickly as possible and now that I have also decided to start doing some fanart as well for the conventions in 2008 101.38 hours is just plain unacceptable anyway I will put my trust in the Lord and move forward I am excited about all the changes i have been making oh yeah i dyed my hair reddish brown "roasted coffee" (who comes up with these names I will try to get a picture of that today as well.

With Rob about to return home from the hospital that means I will be returning as well seeing as how every single night has been spent there by his side realizing how much I have changed recently cracks me up a bit because in the past I have never been able to display the discipline and drive for myself that I have in this situation watching my meals working out on the hospital floor on my exercise mat of course the early bedtimes and early mornings for work yesterday I worked from 430a until 400p so far its all been worth it now I am going to be picking up the pace going into reinvention overdrive. this week I get a new haircut and color doubling my free weight routine and adding in cardio and dance as well but I will be home instead of the hospital which I am happy about so I can hang out on the computer a bit more and cut out some stresses that I have been dealing with on that end as well devote a large chunk of time to my artwork projects as well now that Rob is getting to the point of being healed there is the question of whether or not we pick up where we left off or go seperate ways or try something totally new and different together he says it is way too soon to talk about anything along those lines and he needs more time to heal no matter whats going to happen I do love the man and respect his wishes so I get to stay chaste celibate and a bit tormented till I know more but hey maybe that will help with the workouts does jo'ing count and will that steal energy from my body for muscle growth these are important questions I need to know the answers to!

PROGRESSION

10:04 am - Progress well it has been a long hard road the past few weeks I have been working 12 hour days working on the comicbook and spending nights on a cot at the hospital Rob had an infection in his chest and has been hospitalized and will not get oput until next month I on the other hand have been doing my best to wotrk on my art my body and my spirit and bank account for a better future I just had a coup-le of minutes extra today and have been away from my computer for so long I wanted to check in and say hey and check in here get some new music and pat myself on the backl a little cause I have been working very hard lets see I am now working on the fin al draft of the characters for the Grimladorin and have even begun going to church just got baptized have also been working out and eating alot alot and healthy I have put on about 15 pounds so far and have been getting as much working out in there as possible my eye is still healing but it almost looks normal now I just took a couple of pics to show my current progress hope you like once i am not such a cyclops like freak I will take some more fun ones if ya know what I mean hehehe
